Delete your PocketGym (formerly Spotter) account
This page explains how to delete your PocketGym account and everything in it. You can do it yourself inside the app, and you can ask us to do it for you without installing anything.
Delete it yourself, in the app
- Open PocketGym and go to Settings.
- Scroll to Data & privacy.
- Tap Delete account.
- Type DELETE to confirm, then tap Delete everything.
The account is erased straight away and you are signed out. It cannot be undone and there is no copy.
Ask us to delete it, without the app
If you cannot sign in, have already removed the app, or would simply rather we did it, email business@quarterdeckcollective.com from the address your PocketGym account uses, with the subject Delete my account.
We reply to confirm the request came from you, and the account is erased within 30 days of that confirmation. In practice it is usually the same week. We will tell you when it is done. We do not ask for anything beyond proof that the mailbox is yours.
Cancel a store subscription first. If you subscribed to PocketGym Plus through Google Play or the App Store, deleting your PocketGym account does not cancel that subscription and does not stop the billing. Cancel it in Google Play under Payments and subscriptions, or in your Apple Account subscription settings, before you delete the account. PocketGym no longer sells subscriptions on its website (web purchases through Stripe ended on 18 September 2026).
Take a copy first, if you want one
In the app, Settings → Data & privacy → Export my data writes your workout cards, every session you have logged, your plan, your collections, your goals and their programs, the corrections you made to cards, your records and awards, your chats with Pumpy and any answers you reported, your plan status, your reminder settings and your settings into a single JSON file on your device. Do this before you delete, not after.
What gets deleted
- your saved workouts and the cards extracted from them, and any video or audio file you uploaded;
- every session you have logged, your weekly plan, and the records and awards worked out from them;
- your collections, and the corrections you made to cards;
- your conversations with Pumpy, and any answer of Pumpy's you reported;
- your profile, your settings, your reminder subscriptions and your personal save key;
- your subscription record in PocketGym, and any customer record left at Stripe from the old website purchases (PocketGym asks Stripe to delete it);
- your Strava connection, if you made one — Strava is told to forget PocketGym and both access keys are deleted;
- your customer record at RevenueCat, which checks store purchases for PocketGym — PocketGym asks RevenueCat to delete it, and keeps asking until RevenueCat confirms;
- your Sign in with Apple authorization, if you used it — PocketGym asks Apple to revoke it;
- the sign-in account itself, so the email address no longer has a PocketGym account.
What is kept, and why
- Records of what the AI cost to run. Your account id is stripped out of them, so they are no longer attached to you. They are deleted after 13 months, and the detailed ones on a schedule after 40 and 90 days.
- The shared extraction cache. When any video is read for the first time, the resulting workout is stored under the video's own public ID so nobody has to pay to read it again. It holds only what was already public on the post and nothing about who saved it, so there is nothing in it to attach to you and nothing to delete. An entry not updated for 18 months is deleted.
- Payment records held by others. Stripe, Google and Apple each keep their own record of a payment for as long as tax, accounting and fraud rules require. Those are not ours to delete.
- Ordinary server logs. Supabase, which runs PocketGym's database and server, keeps request and sign-in logs for a limited period for security reasons.
- Backups may hold a copy for a short time until they roll over.
Deleting one thing instead of everything
You do not have to delete the account to delete content. Removing a workout in the app deletes it immediately, along with its card and your edits to it.
